Pitou, d'humeur
chasseuse ce soir a ramené les trophées suivant: ma pantoufle gauche, un vieux
morceau de papier froissé et un morceau de ficelle...
Pas grave, j'en ai profité pour prendre quelques photos: j'adore quand elle fait ses gros yeux avant de se jeter sur sa "proie"!

lors de sa promenade: je profite du dimanche pour la faire sortir en pleine
journée, au moment où il est bon profiter du soleil ou regarder les autres
animaux autour (surtout les oiseaux!).

I didn't have time to post any
picture of Pitou
recently, so I figured I could upload at least one
and compensate with 198
pictures of other cats, especially kitties. The website features
pictures of adorable kitties in different situations, and although the
photoshop touch is sometimes a bit too harsh, the pictures are very
pleasant to view.
Pitou, on the other hand, has gotten so big recently, I think she's been having too much of a good time at Jeff's or Jean-Paul's, who are kind enough to keep her while I'm away from home for a few days. I just haven't realized how time flies and how adult she has become, although she's still very playful!
It's been a while since I posted a picture of Pitou...
I have been just too busy lately to do anything at all, but when I saw Pitou
climbing up the desk and put down her paw on the laundry setup to dry our
clothes, I just couldn't resist.

I got a new camera again (see the update in the photography category) and of course, Pitou had to be my first model !
I actually took a couple of pictures, just to play
with it but I won't show them here, as they have absolutely no interest
(unless you want to see my bedroom shot or some chopsticks holders, etc.)
On the other hand, while I was about to do some more test shots, Pitou came in
the way. I guess she just had to, she is my favorite live model to test out
all the digital cameras I've ever had !
So here's one
picture of Pitou, shot at ISO 400. Still amazed by the lack of noise !
Also, the full size pictures shows sharp details I've never seen on my D30 ! I
can't wait to have some pictures printed...

I also did some clean up and reduced the size of the pictures so that no picture is bigger than 200kb (faster to download).
I just got my ADSL connection installed yesterday and it's really fantastic. Not only it's amazingly faster than my ISDN connection but I also don't have to worry about the time I have to stay connected since I'm not paying for it !
So what about the changes here ? Well, actually not much, I was just cleaning my website a little, organizing folders, etc ... A transparent change for you then ...
Disappointed ? Ok, here's some pictures of Pitou I took recently!
The now traditional picture of Pitou, taken with my new camera, the same one I used when I went to France this year. For your information, the lens I'm using is the amazing Canon EF 28-135mm IS USM.

I actually got an excellent book recently called "Nature Photography" by John
Shaw which explains photography techniques, starting from the very basic ones.
The book is clear and well written and the pictures are absolutely wonderful
...
Although I learnt little so far, this book revived my interest for photography so here are some more pictures of my beautiful (not so little now) cat :)
No major change this time either, I just added 3 pictures of Pitou. She really got bigger lately but she hasn't lost anything of her energy to run everywhere and make me crazy ! She's even finding some new things to play twith everyday such as my ironing table, which she loves to hang to or that piece of calendar where she's hiding under thinking that nobody can see her :D ! Anyway, she's still very cute, check out the sleeping pictures I took of her :)
Today is Pitou's birthday (almost) : she was born the 1st of April 2000 so she's today 7 months old. She indeed got a little bigger but apart from that she hasn't changed at all! She's still running everywhere, always ready to jump (higher and higher!) but she is also capable of showing a lot of affection when she comes to sleep on your lap :)
I managed to take some no flash pictures and I had to keep her still and make her look at something else than the camera, which is pretty tough when you know how excited she usually is! I was actually playing with a piece of paper or moving my fingers to keep her attention but she was always jumping before I could take the picture !
