Here is a list of some friends' homepage, my favorite sites, etc.

My Friends

Fred: Nice guy who's working with me... Watch out, this guy is an html expert !

Bruno: The Master! Seriously, the guy knows everything about computers ! In exchange of some help from him, I help him in Diablo ;)

Thierry: Finally updated! A homepage full of mysteries...

Hiro: A colleague and a friend of mine, master of Everquest, expert to find some cool stuff for a computer!

George: Check out this very dynamic homepage, George is working hard on the design and the results are worth it!

Deepak: A very good friend of mine who learnt so much within a few days: his homepage started from a Word document (almost) to what you're going to see, using PhotoShop and Dreamweaver ! Impressive !
Recently the gave up the world of computers to open an Indian restaurant called Swagat and he seems to be very successful ! At least, I love the food he serves:)

Tuan Luong: I have to say, this guy is simply amazing !... Have a look at his origami master pieces !

JPP: A guy I've never met but we've been working together over the phone for a couple of months. He's based in Hong Kong where he seems to have a lot of fun ! Check the homepage of this crazy guy !

Photography

Photo.net: a wonderful website for photography lovers, full of information, and great galleries.
Check out the picture of the week gallery, each photo is a masterpiece!

Digital Photography Review: very complete and professional web site for all the people who are interested in digital cameras. Lots of explanations and tests on cameras, sample pictures, etc. Definitely my favorite site for digital cameras ! The forums are also very instructive.

The Digital Camera Resource Page: a reference for me who was looking or articles and comparatives tests about digital cameras. This site provides updated news and nice pictures galleries.

BreezeBrowser: The piece of software I use to convert my pictures from Canon's RAW format to TIFF or JPEG. Excellent shareware which also generates very nice html pages for you. Highly recommended for Canon camera owners !

Phase One Capture One DSLR Limited Edition: a wonderful piece of software to convert RAW files with maximum efficiency, since you can see your changes in realtime, as opposed to BreezeBrowser which is a bit slow to calculate the new settings. It is also great to convert by batches, since you can convert up to 20 pictures in the background (unlimited number for the Full version), while working on other pictures.

Fred Miranda: Amazing site full of pictures taken with a Canon D30. The pictures just look awesome. Fred Miranda also provides actions and profiles for Photoshop which dramatically enhance the quality of your pictures.

Pbase Photo Gallery: An excellent site for people who wish to share pictures. Just upload your pictures (or a zip file) and pbase will do the rest for you, organize your pictures, create a gallery with thumbnails, display your pictures in 3 different sizes and everything for free ! Incidentally, you can also find my gallery there !

Ofoto: the site where I have my digital pictures printed. The quality is absolutely wonderful and I'd recommend it to anybody who's got a digital camera... They print the pictures on Kodak paper and the site is so good that it has just been bought by Kodak itself !

GettyOne: a very nice site if you want to buy (or just look at) artistic pictures.

Photography on the net: a reference for me, check the wonderful pictures taken with a mere Canon Powershot G1! Sometimes, I'm ashamed of myself for changing my camera so many times when I look at Pekka's pictures...

The Luminous Landscape: a collection of very interesting articles about photography. You can also subscribe to the Video Journal and receive tutorials, articles, etc. on a CD.

Web development

emacs: Really THE editor! you can do anything you want, it's very customizable, it looks good with colors for keywords for many languages, it can handle regular expressions, etc. Really, if you can afford to spend a few minutes to learn how to use it, you will never let it go!.

the W3 validator: Check if what you write is standard ! You'll have a few surprises when you see the output of the applications such as Frontpage, Dreamweaver, etc.

W3 Schools: The site I used to find all the documentation I needed on CSS. It is well explained, clear and you even have some tutorials.

Mozilla: If you spend so much time developping a nice homepage, I am sure that you would like at least to see it run on an elegant brwoser.
Mozilla respects all standards of W3 (including the transparent PNG files, which Microsoft Internet Explorer does not) and lets you stop the popup windows generated by javascripts in some pages
You can also just install firebird, which is the light version of Mozilla's browser, very fast and customizable

Blosxom: The Weblog I'm using. Very nice and simple, extremely customizable, as long as you can get along with some perl programming and using the Unix file system to build the entries. Nice !
